Easily change your telephone number while maintaining your usual circle of contacts!

With “My New Number” service you have the possibility to change your telephone number and your friends and relatives will be notified of it when they call your old number. The calling subscribers will receive the information about your new number in the form of SMS and voice message.

The service is valid within 180 days from the moment of activation.
Activation and management of the service is free of charge.

Activation of the service

You can activate the service on a free of charge basis by one of the following ways:

Call from your new MTS number to the free number 765 and, following the voice prompts, specify your old telephone number; or
Send a free SMS to the number 765. In the body of the SMS message specify your old telephone number in the format: 38 (an operator’s code) telephone number.

Wait for the SMS notification confirming the successful activation of the service. Upon this enable for your old telephone number the call forwarding function to the MTS service number which will be given to you in the SMS notification. For this purpose, insert the old SIM card in your telephone and dial the following command:
**21*MTS service number (which you received in the SMS notification) # or activate unconditional call forwarding through the menu of the telephone.

After this insert the new SIM card and now you can use your new MTS number without being concerned about losing your old circle of contacts!

Attention! To ensure the correct operation of the service it is necessary that your old number remain active, i.e. on your account there must be an amount sufficient for making one call to any MTS number.

At the same time the money on your old account is not spent.

For one MTS number it is possible to register only one old telephone number.

The old telephone number can be a number of any Ukrainian GSM operator.

Modes of the service

You will have the notification mode “Show My New Number” enabled by default. In this mode you will be informed of all calls made to your old number by means of SMS. All calling subscribers when making a call to your old number will be notified about your new number by SMS and voice message.

If you don’t want to show your new number to all calling subscribers you can change the notification mode to “Hide My New Number”.

In this case all subscribers calling to your old number will not be notified of your new number while you will get an SMS about calls made to your old number.

If you wish so, you can refuse from receiving SMS about calls made to your old telephone number. At the same time the calling subscribers will be getting the information in accordance with the notification mode set by you.

Managing the service

To manage the service, dial the free number 765 and, following the voice prompts, enter/change your old telephone number, change the mode, activate/deactivate the service, enable/disable SMS notifications or change language of the service.

When managing the service via SMS you can send messages to the number 765 with the following commands:

AS old number in the format 38 (an operator’s code) telephone number – to activate the service in the “Show My New Number” mode;
AH old number in the format 38 (an operator’s code) telephone number – to activate the service in the “Hide My New Number” mode;
D – to deactivate the service;
SN – to enable the “Show my new number” mode;
NS – to enable the “Hide my new number” mode;
SO old number in the format 38 (an operator’s code) telephone number – to change the old number;
S – to request the service status;
H – the list of commands for managing the service;
RN – settings modification: to receive notifications about calls made to the old number;
NR – settings modification: to refuse from receiving notifications about calls made to the old number;
UA – settings modification: change the language of notifications to Ukrainian;
RU – settings modification: change the language of notifications to Russian;
EN – settings modification: change the language of notifications to English.
