What is roaming?

Contract MTS subscribers can use mobile communication and mobile internet services abroad by means of service of international roaming.

New subscriber can activate the international roaming service after addressing the MTS company store in person*.

For subscribers who use MTS services for over six months and pay bills on time it will be enough to contact Customer care centers for activation of this service and to have a positive balance at the account:

from a mobile phone at the number 111 (free of charge from MTS numbers in Ukraine);
Call from a mobile phone at the number 555 (Direct connection with the operator service) costs 0,47 UAH (including VAT and without PF tax) starting from the twenty-first second of the first minute of outgoing call;
from a stationary phone at the number +380 44 240 0000.
Also, you may activate the service by yourself via the Internet Helper.

* Subscribers using MTS services for less than six months can't be provided with International Roaming, International circuit and Conference call services at once. Activation of International roaming service for subscribers who use MTS services for less than 6 months is available with the option of making outgoing calls to any numbers in Ukraine and to any local numbers in the host country without the possibility of making calls to international numbers (except for calls to Ukraine).

How does roaming work?

Turn on your phone just after you arrived abroad and telephone will find the network automatically. MTS constantly increases roaming partners network by making two-sides agreements with foreign operators.

It gives MTS subscribers an opportunity to use mobile communication services in other countries and subscribers of foreign operators – in Ukraine.

One number – one world

Wherever you go you do not have to change your number. Wherever you are in our global roaming network, your relatives, friends and colleagues will call you or send you SMS.

In order to make outgoing call from abroad, you should dial the number in international format:

+ < country code > < city code or network code> < phone number >.

For example, in order to make a call to Kyiv from abroad, to MTS Service Center Ukraine dial + 380 50 508 1111, where:

+ – is a sign which is used in mobile telephones of GSM standard to substitute access code from any country;
380 – international code of Ukraine;
50 – one of codes of MTS-Ukraine network;
508 1111 – telephone number of a subscriber, in this case, number of MTS Service Center Ukraine.

During your international trip contact MTS Service Center for help 24 hours:

from a stationary or mobile phone at the number +38050 508 1111.

Calls to Client Service Center number 380 50 508 1111:

within the MTS Group networks – without charge;
within other networks – the first minute is free, the following time starting from the second minute – according to tariffs of hosting zone.

Account checking and updating in roaming

To check up the current balance of your account you need to dial on a mobile phone keypad the following combination:

*110*10# and

. Inaddition, the account balance can be checked by means of the Internet Helper system.

To update the balance of your account you need to dial on a mobile phone keypad the following combination:

*100* secret voucher code # and

After the request about account updating is sent, there will be a message on your mobile phone display that the sum is charged. Detailed information about top up cards is here – http://www.mts.com.ua/eng/contract_payment_card.php.

MTS subscribers being in roaming, also can top up the account by means of a payment card, using service «Easy Payment» or buying the voucher with help of Internet.
